Anyone of you building a project especially for the European Bug-in?  Or have you set this as your goal to complete your project.
For me it's the whole point of starting my karmann project.  Let hear yours!

Not a VW but a Fiat 850 with VW running gear.
Hopefully my wife will be racing it. Grin

Your wife? Respeck!

No, personally i'll be glad if i get my 67 done... meaning "new" front end, new wheels and tyres, lower the nose a little more etc etc
Nevertheless i'd be glad to see any project listed here  Wink

Cool Fiat dude  Cool

My manx is gettin a bit of a revamp this winter - I've got myself a few more Race trim bits and a taller screen for more of an "old skool" look

I'm planning on driving from the UK to Bad Camberg then on to Bug In the following weekend then after bug in I'm cruzing down to Malaga for a week to visit some friends then back to the UK - I've worked it all out and its gonna be about a 3500 mile trip  Shocked  its gonna get a bit drafty  Cheesy

Anyone else planning on going over to Bad Camberg?

If you go old school on the set up that could be a twitchy little car, do you get on with your wife?  Shocked

It has a full tubular chassis and is light as a feather. I love my wife maybe I could sell it on as the widower maker.

Do you think the insurance would pay up Huh Grin

Yeah man me too, I can't wait - I'll be doing all 3 slalom, drag and the off road course and if I get time the Show & shine too, it would be AWSOME to get one of the first "euro bug in" trophies  Cool

I wish I had the time and funds to make one project for every show...
My engine is getting new heads from JPM with some modifications. The goal is 10 second time slips, still fully streetable and filling her up at the gas station. Hopefully the engine will be finished before x-mas. JPM thinks the heads might be finished to Dyno day, October 28, be there or be #!
After that it is time for paint and bodywork if my wallet allows. I am going for a more classic cal look instead of just worn out stock. The car is more or less rust and dent free so it shouldn't be that big task.

F*&^

Where do i start....

Iguana will have new gear Box installed (Das drag day killed the current one) and hopefully the original engine from Bill Clarksons garage

The Chop is being cleaned

THe Ghia is getting the original engine rebuilt and installed

THe Salts Flat car should have its original engine in it

The yellow racer with the deano engine will be finished off

Oh and am currently looking for a fibreglass ghia body to suit Dean Lowrys tube chassis race car !

Sumfun will have its original engined stripped and rebuilt before running

maybe a few other minor jobs !!!!

Randy gates 52 will be tried and trested before melting it dowen the strip (I CANT WAIT)

I am planing to have all my old/period shit there am currently trying to buy a transporter trailer, then sit my HGV so in can get the cars there.

PS i will do all the work myself with assitance from a few very good friends (Dale Clark and Kevin Dawson), nothing will be farmned out to Shops to do.......  I prefer to play and break and Pay and break !

A couple of years ago a swedish guy was making Ghia and 356 bodies in fibreglass. I think it was the Ove Nilsson/Anders Fridh team but I am not sure, maybe someone can fill in? I have only seen two finished cars: Fridhs own and Jörgen Erikssons.

Hi Russell are you going to drive the Sumfun car it just that i think it was Clyde Berg that took it up the 1/4 mile and said he would not get in that car ever again as it was all over the place at the top end.
