Don't you just hate it when sellers do that!! Roll Eyes Just seem to be using ebay to find a seller that wants to buy 'outside' of the system  Sad
I mean, whats the point in bidding on auctions from those kinda sellers only to have it pulled before auction end!

Thus, reaffirming why I loathe eBay. It's evil and the scammers that abuse are even more so. Which is rather sad... the original concept of said website was actually a pretty cool idea, back in the '90s, such as it were. Clearly not the case, these days, I'm afraid.

Guys

The wheels are sold, we have agreed a deal which will see them on Tar Babe, the other interested bidding parties were in the states and with the cost of shiiping and insurance the pirces was going to be silly, however for me i can collect at the volksworld show, no shipping no insurance.

The seller has spoken to the other parties and they also agreed that the cost would be too high including the shipping/insurance.

The price is fair and also cheaper than the last set i purchased, i would say that as mentioed before original BRMS are selling for approx £1000.00 each.

Steph, has agreed to do this for me as the wheels i was planning to use are currenyly being restored for the UnderDog project im doing, he was prepared to help me out for this car without being silly or adding a "Oh its russell ritchie tax" !

We all agree ebay can be bad however sometimes a seller can be happy with a deal and rather than hold out except it, it works both ways rather than us bidding more than we want just to get something...... staright talking deals are the best way no shit.

So to end, Steph has done me a favor, has helped to get Tar Babe back on the track correctly and help preserve another piece of VW History, so thanks are required not abuse.

PS dont know about the raders not me anyway.
PPS about 6 weeks ago i was offered two sets of BRMs one in the states for $ 15000.00 and one in the Uk for £ 6500.00, guess what i never purchased either but funny how that "vw VAT collector" tax was included again !!!!!!!!

Stef and Russell I was happy to assist
please all sometimes it is good to wait with comments till final result is known
is this particular case all parties have been contacted and this deal ended up good for Russell and TarBabe
so also good for us because we get to see TarBabe life and racing again ... and that is what we all love
Stef did not choose for the money as in this deal he is loosing but for the good cause ,we made it all happen for all of us to enjoy
hope you can in some way understand why some things are being done, like Russell also explained (thanks Russell)

Hi Russell, I know what your saying but if
sometimes a seller can be happy with a deal and rather than hold out except it,

why not put a Buy It Now on them?  and surely this

rather than us bidding more than we want just to get something......
is what eBay and auctions are all about. Bid to the amount your are happy to pay and if some guy wants them more he pays more and gets them??

It's just a bit of a pet hate to watch auctions disappear 'cause someone has 'backdoored' it. If the seller is going to do that just put them out in the open market, no?

So what cars you bringing to VoWo then Russ? We'll need to talk non VWs  Grin
