That and I would put amber tops on it... I know you guys are trying to look like US code cars but most if not all US Cal-Looks ran amber tops.
No, Nicolas was right - if you are using our taillights to be different, than we should use yours. I mean - there is no point to use European taillights in Europe when you want them to be "different"
So, 'European cal-looker' should have red tops
Seriously though - I'm not a big fan of American taillights. They are not as visible for other drivers.
As for the car, I like it very much. I have it's pictures downloaded from old-droppers forum and even used one as wallpaper. Nice job Nicolas. Think again about those front tires - the ones you have look great IMO and are certainly better then 145's as far as braking and handling is concerned.

Great car! Really like the stance and overall look. Great locations for the pics too!
I don't like the exhaust but you're going to change it so that's cool.
For the tyres : continental's front and hankook's rear

Nicolas why did you swap the headlight for the upright ones?
I swap the headlight to change my car into a US 67', my favorite model
I have other pics by night
GOOD IDEA I WILL DO THE SAME

Once again! The photos you took really bring out the best in your car!
It looks so cool. I've never been a fan of Enkei wheels, but seeing them on your 67 makes me think twice
What colour is it by the way? Or did you post it on page 1 already?

Agreed. I've always had European headlights on every car I've ever owned, dating back to 1979. But on my current car, I decided to be different and get a set of Hella all red U.S. spec tail lights on my '67 Beetle. Everyone's telling me to change to the amber tops. The more I hear that, the more I like my red tops. HAHA!! Perhaps one day, if I find a really nice set of Hellas (not Hassias), I might consider it.
Is the body trim on this blue car from a '66? Looks too thick to be a '67.

That color works well with the amber lenses, but the Zenith Blue looks better with the reds

I have to say you ride sits very nicely on the Flat 4 Enkeis - and wierd how they look even coioler in black and white!
. . . the front tyres look great, must drive far better than the dumb 145s I have - definately stick with them on a daily driver.
I had a stock '72 bug when I was 18, Cal Look was all about pastel colours and matching empi 5 copies! - wasn't convinced at the time and stuck with my stocker - you must be having a blast in such a sweet looking ride!
Congrats!

Thanks guys !
My front tyres are dead, i want to change for 145/15 but I think that is really hard to drive with the 5.5 Enkei.
You have tested that ?
