Thanks Ratto for the kind words......... Hmmmm Let's see......I'm not as good as Ratto telling stories........but here I go:

I was building a 66 sunroof at the time I saw the car for sale (3rd picture from speedwell) I believe it was back in 03 (Panic VW show) I was with Hector Bonilla (in his bitchin 67) behind Scott Bakken.  I remember telling Hector that the way I wanted to build the 66 was exactly the way Scott’s car was built (my 67 now).  We got to the Panic show and I was just drooling over the car again, I hadn’t seen the car on the streets in the longest time since Scott always drove his white bitchin car and not the 67.  Scott had a “for sale” sign at the show but the car did not sell that day.  I didn’t think about buying the car since I was still working on the 66.  I had pictures of Scott’s 67 taped on my garage wall as inspiration to build a nice cal-looker.  A year went by and I had not finished my car.  During a DKP meeting I saw the car again and decided to talk to Scott about the car and he mentioned he was still interested in selling.  Sold the 66 and got rid off the headaches and the rest is history……… Best decision I ever made!!! And I’m proud to own a car that was built by one of the coolest guys out there……… Scott knows his shit…!!! No doubt about that!!!

Tis a great car.  Scott let me make a pass in it at the first HVW's Drag Day.   Smiley  Such a sweetheart (the car....well I guess Scott too)

Looking forward to seeing it with the T-bars and Americans at the Classic

Are the Americans from Paul (?) DeBilling's diamond green sunroof?  I remember they were for sale not long ago, plus the DKP connection, added up.

They look much better than the BRMs.

Forgive me, Sarge... this may be a longshot, but I'm sensing a trifle amount of anger, here.

I agree, they make the car look hard as nails. Now if it just lost all that useless chrome it would be perfect.  Grin

I would like to see what Sarge's car would look like with those on it.
