How cool it must have been, guys like Doug Gordon and Fleming and Sarge.... all the young hoods running the show at the track, can you IMAGINE all the old timers running the big iron....what did THEY think about these young guys...the pioneers, and their buzzy little VW's outrunning their 3 deuces, Isky-cammed stuff.... must have been a real good show.
So Sarge, were you guys like the scrounge of the earth at the track, showing up in VW's? All the old timer-narrow minded guys thumb their noses at you guys? Bunch of long haired 20-somethings running around in maroon jackets and their mag-wheeled Bugs... if only we had a time machine.  Cool
