Per the suggestion of Terry Gaudet over on the CLF, I whipped up a few sets of name tag templates that we can all use to put faces with names, when attending various VW events. I know that there are a bunch of people here in the Lounge that also visit the CLF, so I thought this warranted cross posting.
There are a couple of flavors linked below. All are in Microsoft Word format (.doc). If you don't have a copy of Word, you can download the free Microsoft Word Viewer
here.
This one is more of a generic label, with a spot where you can write in your real name and/or nickname. Print it on Avery Self Adhesive Removable Name Badge Labels #8395 labels (Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, Wal-Mart, etc).), fill them out yourself, or bring a few to VW events to share with others:
Link to Version 1This last is the non-adhesive (low buck?) version. Print it on normal paper, fill in the blanks, cut it out with your favorite safety scissors and pin or duct tape it to your shirt. If you wanna' get fancy, you could get it laminated, for re-use again and again.
Link to Version 2If you want to go with a "pin-on" solution, check out the Avery Side Loading Pin Style Name Badges, which you could stick the adhesive labels on.
They are available at
Staples and
Office Depot.
Thanks to Lance "Silver Bugget" Gregory and
Exact Color,
we'll also have a big stack of pre-printed Cal-Look.com name tags, just in time for Bug-In 33.Cal-Look.com racers Muffler Mike Shelden and Troy Palmer and are planning to pit next to each other on Saturday before Bug-In 33.
They will be flying the Cal-Look.com banner and will have plenty of name tags and markers at a table in their pit area, to share with everyone on Sunday. In case you don't know what Mike and Troy's cars look like, here are a couple of pics:
Also, Terry Gaudet is flying in to SoCal from the Great White North a few days before the Bug-in and pre-event activities occur.
Terry has agreed to bring Cal-Look.com name tags to the events that he will be attending, including the social event that's being held at the host hotel on Saturday night. How cool is that?? Big thanks go to Lance, Mike, Terry and Troy!
