A few random images from this year's Bug-In.

Making our way through the swap meet area, we happened upon this Bus.

Also a set of Big Wheels... rather obscure.

More cool stuff. This guy was so nice, I simply asked if he had any reverse light rubber boots (wire covers) and he gave 'em to me. Made my day!

If someone can figure out a way to install a set of these in a full bodied '67 Beetle, without any body alterations, please let us know.

I've always said... if a Type 2 & 3 attempted to procreate, these would be the result.

Susy Herbert and a few other girls got to partake in the Powder Puff division.

Who would paint their Bug orange? Weird.

Next, we made it to the Car Show area.

D.K.P. had a great spot at the threshold of it all.

When I walked past this car, menacing vibrations were all around me. I felt that something weird was gonna happen at some point.

D.K.P. cars.

Danny rode up on this green Dick bike.

More D.K.P.

Made our way to the Vendor area and saw something that was Little But Quick. Schwimmer & Keith check it out.

It was really cool seeing this engine/car in person. When I first learned how to build VW engines, I had that book opened as I assembled.

Sheesh, you'd think this guy had never been to So Cal before. Oh... hiya, Fabian!

Fabian, don't take that picture... take THIS.

Quite the array of race vehicles were on hand, for sure. From long ones...

to short ones.

More cool stuff in the Vendor area.

John R. & Tiger amidst some top quality exhaust setups.

Race Ghia.

Got back to the Car Show area and found an infestation of DEEKS!

More of 'em... oh, the horror of it all!

So we managed to gain everyone's attention span long enough to gather for a grope. I mean, a group shot.

Hadn't seen Mark R. for about six years. Always good seeing that some things never change; like Mark driving a '67.

A few DEEKS couldn't make it out, so we got McNew on the phone so he'd be there... sorta.

When was the last time anyone saw this kind of tire?

I offered to trade Mark's headlight trim rings for mine, but he wouldn't have it. I can't understand why.

Another DEEK!

Zach's EMPI car.

Brian's car.

As to be expected... not only the cape, but along with a mask, they were both out in full force. Never under estimate the power of the cape.

Tiger's car.

While the VW thing was going down, some Porsches were screaming, next door, on the track. Made for some nice background music.

Worm holds some vintage Bug-In history. Hey, Worm... show us the pose from when you entered Mr. Bug-In. Is that a NO?

The food was so expensive, I had get my friend, Bob, to co-sign a loan for us to eat. But it was all worth it. Bug-In was fun... as was seeing a lotta cool cars and hanging out with friends old and new. GOOD TIMES. On the way out, it was clear that not only some people and the facility were trashed... but also the trashcans themselves.

See you at the next VW gathering!

Great shots everybody.

Who's car is the darker blue with FF 5-spokes next to Sarge's car in the lineup?  Don't think I've seen that before.
