Awesome pic of Sarge's car on the neighborhood street!  If not for the modern cars in the background, could be a classic shot from 70s Cal-look history.

Here are a few shots from Allen and Sue Wiess' party last Saturday afternoon.  BTW, Allen squeezed out a nice 10:55 second ET Sunday at the Bug-In...not bad for a car with fuel injection  Roll Eyes Grin  Left to right on the last pic is Troy Palmer, Larry McKenzie, Allen and Richard Roth.

I was very impressed with Tim Allen's white car. Thanks, Sarge, for the pics of that. I was going in a million different directions that day with my best friend and forgot to take any shots of it. It's a longtime known fact that Tim has been into cars for many years... never knew that he dug on VW aircooled cars, too. That's COOL!

I worked a vintage race in LA. Tim Allen was driving a Yenko Stinger so his aircooled love is not limited to VWs or for that mater German.

I have to say Brians car blew me away more than any other.  I could not stop staring at it.  All these little details, new cool things everytime I looked and everywhere I looked.  The throttle cable rig and position, the painted ring Lucas turn signals, the rubber grommets here and there.  The painted 48's.  Nickel plated hardware.  Every friggin nut and bolt.... wow.  Insane.  All of it.  It was my sons favorite car as well.  Incredible innovative details.  Loved that car!

That Foose built Bus was a trip. I normally only dig on more factory looking vehicles... but that guy did an outstanding job at utilizing many factory items throughout. Very tastefully done.

You think so?? I usually like Chip's take on cars, but I think from now on he should stay away from VW's!

Yeah, I kinda liked it. Just because it's different but not too weird. I wouldn't build a Bus that way if it were mine. I'd restore it all factory, then add the built engine, a slight nose down job, and some Porsche factory wheels. But that's my silly way and it's my silly opinion. Completely on a selective basis, mind you.

I usually like the redesigns Chip do... and I have often thought about what he would do to a aircooled VW, as in my opinion there isn't really any thing to do. Now I have seen it, and I don't think he made an ass of himself, but in my mind some of the mods he could have done without and it would have given him a nicer result.
