favorite year would be a '54 - 55. The later ovals lost some of the fine details the earlier models. One day I will own a '54 ragtop. After that I would have to say '67.

Since they were brand new... I've always favored 1966, '67, '68, & '69. Those years, to me, are the best ones Volkswagen ever produced and when they were at the top of their game as an automobile manufacturer and advertiser.

As Lanny Hussey says "67 is the only year that matters". I'm on 67 number 5 right now but I do own a 58, 2-63s and a 64 as well as 2 67s.

'67's have always been my favorite by far. Probably because I grew up around them, and I always heard from my Dad and my uncles that they were the best year. Naturally my first car was a '67 and I've had four of them so far. I've started to like what I call "early late models" (68 to 71 bugs) a lot more than I used to these days too. I

Split, favourite perhaps a 1950 (first with juice-brakes?), 40's one would do also.. I am not into the '67s nor other later ones with as much glass as a fishtank Can understand that the US-spec '67 is special crossover between the body styles, but hey so is Zwitter and it has the most beautiful stock dash
