for the best (and most potent) margarita ever drive up to Montrose (a suburb of Glendale) and visit Joselitos on Honolulu. I think a guy could use one to clean carburetors.

I take it Honolulu is a street and not the Island right?  Grin BTW Jim I would really like to get the chance to meet you and check out the infamous blue car. I don't know if you will be in that area but it would be cool to finally meet up with you.

Bump

Getting on the big jet airliner next week heading to Cali. My plans have changed some what. Looks like I will be in Pomona Thursday and Friday, drive to Anaheim Sat, then will be in Riverside Monday through Wednesday. I am going to try and get to Cars & Coffee Sat morning if I can find it.  Undecided Still would like to try and meet up with some folks from the lounge.

Cool! Hopefully, this bloody heatwave will be toned down for your trip out here. Us So Cal natives are spoiled and when it gets below 60º or above 80º, we freak out. HAHA!! Lately, it's been over 100º. Thank God for nearby Mother Ocean and surfing.

If you're still planning on attending Cars & Coffee, simply get a hold of Rick, Bill, and/or me and we'll make sure you get there. It's pretty well set-up... by 0700hrs, the place is crawlin' with nice cars. By 0900hrs, the lots are almost empty. I like that 'cause the rest of the day is ahead.

Driving through or to Stanton will be on a strict request only basis. See Rick for further details.

 Grin

At any rate, feel free to drop an e-mail if you need a ride or directions anywhere. (see profile for address)

Cool, thanks Fred. I will probably  take you up on that offer for a ride. Driving in LA traffic is not something I am looking forward to. I will drop you an email next week before I fly out.

I'm sure that Norway has more hookers, addicts and bums then they want as it is.  Grin Grin

Had dinner with Sarge & Sharon Friday night. Great people. We had a wonderful time visiting with them and hearing both of their stories. I got to ride in the red car and I have to say that all the pics I have seen of it do not do the car justice. It is also what I would consider the definition of a Cal-looker. Fast, well tuned, rides smooth and killer looks all rolled into one car. It may not be the fastest car, but you could drive it anywhere. (And they have) Anyway, Sarge and Sharon are welcome at the Brooks household any time they want to come to Florida.

Couple of pics of my wife and I with the red '67.

I didn't make it to Cars & Coffee as I wanted, but I did manage to hit a few shops and go to the NHRA museum. If you are coming to SoCal the NHRA museum is a must see.

The Berg Shop. I meet Tim while there who was very kind. He even drew is a map to some other shops in the area.
