Time has come to present my summer 2008 ride...

The base is a 1960 turkish green car, restored 10 years ago and then stored in a corner of a body workshop.

Unfortunatly half of the body had primer spray marks , took my 3 days to have it all off.

The front bonet has been resprayed (had default).

The restauration work hve been done propoerly, body off, pan in epoxy etc...

The car is originally equiped with a Dehne fuel jauge, a motometer voltmeter and a VDO watch in the glovebox door.

Also has reclining seats.

Have now equiped the car with a sway-a-way, and a very nice set of centerlines... looks quite good I think.

Drives very smooth (the wife is happy)))))

Plans are (if I keep the car)

so digging up this post for a few updates.... Grin

Found a long 8X31 gearbox, complete revision, its in the car.

Wit the the help of PAT(www.pat.be) also found the time to close the 1776, thanks to him for his time and advises... Grin

Engine is now in the car, 12v conversion is done except for the turn signals -) can't make them work.
It's an after august 60 so 61 model front turn light and small taill light.  Huh

now I still need to work on the rear-end height and put some spacer on the back wheels...

and last but not least swap the front drums for disc brakes, beacause they won't keep up long !!!!

pics from the first drive this afternoon

it's an export model right Huh

with my standart i've the same problem , i never understand how the rear lights works  Roll Eyes , my 61 doesn't have the semaphores  but had the front turns signal

yours made the 3 positions , lights ,brakes and, turn signals Huh normally in an european car (non export) <- 61 you have 3 wires in the comodo , and on the export model & <-aug 61 standart model you have  5 wires in the comodo

take an 60 US electrical wiring diagram

Thanks Fab !

Still I can't see why its not working

On the 12V relay I have the following connections

31 : Ground

49 : from the commode

49 B : from the commodo + signal to the dashboard.

I can only get to work permantly, meaning the turn signal goes on when using the commodo but it's not flashing !!!!!

Anyone having an idea, guys from the US should know the problem ?
