Here's a shot of one of mine in raw gel coat. I used to sell a version with bonded in hinges but it's so easy to do most people buy them without and do it themselves.

The guy that build the car told me the metal lid was made by Paintbox. Anyway it's really a nice job!

Rob at East Coast Buggies makes them. I've got one on my bug. Semi-W though not a full W.

Bonding the hinges to it makes it function like a normal decklid. I used a QR pin on the bottom.

This wasn't the decklid, but a baja bug eye bonnet I did, same technique, some good structural epoxy, few clamps and a donor bit of sheet metal.
