Last I hear Russell was going to invest into a "cargo ship full of salt" and build his own salt flats in Scotland....

Is it just me or does the extended nose Terasoar look like a Daytona superbird ? Where as the way Russell found it looks more like a dirt late model. Wink

Ah, no, that's not what he said. Donald indicated that Ken Lowry owned two Amante GTs...

On another note. After talking with Ken about this car, I do not think they ever ran a Porsche 912-based engine. I think it was a misprint from way back when the it appeared in a Peterson VW annual. The engine was either a 2074 or 2180 VW...

Wow, I didn't know this car was being brought back to life.  Fabulous Russel!  Hats off to you for bringing another historic VW back! I know it will be spot on and incredible after you're through with it!

The photo below of the white Amante with orange stripes is not the original TeraSoar.  This was my drag car from about 1983-1985 and my dad and I were, at the time of this photograph, in the process of getting this car ready to go to Bonneville.  I would LOVE to find this car or the original TeraSoar (which should be in Scandinavia or maybe elsewhere in Europe), so if anyone has ANY information, please consider letting me know.

Thanks so much!
