Hello,
I am looking for advice. I have rebuilt my 2110 and installed a C.B. Cam 308 Duration with 560 lift. I turned it over to start and and did not start !!!I checked the piston position when on the relative strokes the piston and foundthe piston is not in the correct position for the inlet/exhaust Valve position ( Exapmle the piston is going down on the Exhaust stroke?
. This has lead me to believe i have made a mistake when installing the cam gear on the cam shaft by installling the gear in the wrong position so is 120 degrees or 240 degrees out !!!!
Obviously when building up the bottom end the timing gears were meshed in the correct position however the cam is not phased correctly. Obviously the cam gear bolts can be accessed through the oil pump so i presume i can reposition it without stripping the case but Can any of you guys tell me:-
1. Any Tips for changing the cam position??.
2 Best way to determine how far it is out??. (Possibally by Overlap)
I appriciate i have cocked up and if any of you guys can help me out i would be much appriciated however i guess this is what happens when your not a expert.
Many Thanks Justin Dawson
