This topic may have come up before however I ran across a topic on the other forum that got me thinking. I have a number of books that I refer to from time to time that seem to help me out. I have various service manuals and I especially like the Official VW Service Manual by Volkswagen of America with the colored schematics. One of my favorites is the Without Guesswork book. I have about three of them for various reasons, but there is so much useful information about tolerances and wear limits that I think it is a must have! Of course I have a bunch of Berg Catalogs and information and the everpresent Bently manuals. What say you about your favorite tech. book?

I have shelves of books. They kind of have taken over every bookshelf in our place and beyond.
My faves:
Bill Fisher book "How to Hotrod your Volkswagen"
"Four Stroke Performance Tuning" by AG Bell
Weber Tech Manual by Bob Tomlinson
Bentley manual
Porsche 911 Performance Handbook by Bruce Anderson
original Weber technical guide
"Design and Tuning of Competition Engines" by Philip Smith
various writings by D. Elgin
original Porsche workshop manual for 4 cam Carrera motor
various SAE papers on camshafts and valvetrain from Elgin's class
Gene Berg Book of Instructions and catalogs
KS' Performance Manual (cool how he broke it down into stages)
