As the old Jaycee pro stocker was put aside because the cage wasnt up to the latest NHRA rules we decided to disassemble it.
We saw that the cage had cracks in it and decided that the car had its fair share of tracktime.
As in curacao beetles are not a common site me and my friends decided to use some beat up brazilian car called a brasilia.

It looks like a small shaped vw 412 but brazilian quality. Grin

The car turned out pretty cool after all and has a NHRA legal cage,my old centerlines and has the old pro stock engine in(2442)
for shake down passes.Dave Kawell is building a turbo engine for it as most of the rotary cars driving in the class switched over to turbo's and NOS.

Here are some pics of the car(sorry for the not so great quality of the pics but they were taken with my cellphone):

Yep Sander,thats the new car.

The old pro stock chassis was way to off to start with the crew told me so the car needs a complete rebuild.
One of my friends and crew member had this car lying in his yard and he wanted to race it longtime ago so
we decided it was the right time to do it.

The chassis is made according to NHRA/PRA specs and the engine is the old Jaycee 2442 engine with the 51.5 terminators on it.
As i couldnt make it to the race in april in curacao due to work my friend drove the car in its shakedown stage and the car went straight
and ran consistent high 9 sec passes.

Hope we can dip into the low nines high 8's when we receive the new Dave Kawell turbo engine Grin

If i could find sponsors i would Eddie,i even would consider to bring the old Jack Sacchette car and update it but since dragracing is not a popular sport in holland i will pass.
But i'm thinking of building a low budget dragracer just for fun,am busy with a 1904 engine for it. Cool
