In Northern Calif you can find a number of good, cold, safe and clean streams to swim in....how about down here?

The river that runs down from Big bear is always really clean and cool/cold,particularly now with the snow melting away, whichever side you are there is one running down

Mount Baldy has one. I took my boys up there two summers back. Ice cold water that's clean, along with a 40' natural rock formation slide that dumps into a 15' pool of water. Scary and a rush at the same time. I have pictures and video of us hiking up there and going down the slide. Of course, I can't find it. D'OH!

But you can watch a small video of the place of my friend and pro skateboarder Steve Alba and his boys, there.
