WHAT'S UP WID DA BOOM BOOM???

« on: June 25, 2008, 03:15:46 am »

Anybody recommend a U.S. shop that is reasonable, reliable, and easy to deal with for non-performance parts?  Like stock replacement, tune-up, etc.  Got my 1835 out at the moment and going to need the basics like a gasket set, some new (nice) plug leads, etc.  I know CB has a lot of OEM stuff now, so they are probably the first option.  Any others?  Thanks!

P.S. Remember mail-order...I'm in PA and you guys in SoCal can pick up your stuff on the way home from work!   Angry

Living in the boonies for 5 years, I order stuff from CB, VW Parts Unlimited, AC.Net, and Cip1. No problems to speak of yet.

Being from Finland, I've used Powerhaus and Wolfsburg West recently.

I am in the same boat as you are being in Florida. For stock replacement parts I usually order from Wolfsburg West because it is quality stuff. Lately though, I have been ordering parts from Mid America since they are closer and shipping is less and I have been happy with the quality of the items. Mechanical stuff I tend to get from John @ Aircooled.net. CIP1 is also a good place and sometimes they have free shipping which helps.

Jim, I work in Harrisburg!  Talk to me.

Thanks for all the input, guys.  Sounds like the channels I've been going through are the same as what you have been using.

Good point, John's been at it for quite some time, huh?  Kind of under the radar, that's a good thing.  There's also Russ at Oldspeed, I've had good dealings with him.
