This makes me crazy ... Now i have tryed JayCee alu tubes with double 0-rings and scat with 3 o-rings and thay leaks like he*l !

I also have a oil catch tank for the valve covers so i think that i have good breating ..

JayCee push rod tubes .. when you put them together they are so tight and the spring will not push them out .. i have oil on the o-rings.
Makes no pressure against cylinder head and engine case...

Scat works fine but the o-rings are BAD !!

Please i need some advice !

Most of the time you are not letting the engine breath enough, then they leak like Hell...

Don't install the expandable pushrod tubes by simply relying on the spring pressure to overcome the O-rings. Before you fit the heads, stretch the tubes slightly overlength, then assemble the heads as you would with stock pushrod tubes. Do not use any sealant on the pushrod seals - make sure the seals are dry and the head and case are free of oil. Excess crankcase pressure can cause problems but it's not always the reason.

I remember reading a post about these same JayCee pushrods on the Volszone forum

Mr. Pete from Funkenblitz was saying something about supporting the outer pushrod seals with singe spring shims.

I made a discovery on a recently purchased set of JayCee pushrod tubes, compared to the older ones. It seems that the "washer" that presses against the seal on the head side on the new ones is larger in diameter than the old ones. I also noticed a leak right after firing the motor after the last tear-down, and this time I had the new tubes installed. It seems that the larger diameter washer interfered with the angled rocker pedestal boss under the head, preventing the tube from seating completely. I exchanged the larger washers over to the smaller diameter washers from the old set and that allowed the PR tube to seat firmly and fixed the leak.

That said, I have always used a thin coat of silicone sealant on the PR tube seals. I know most people don't. To each their own.

Hi !
Thanx for some good advices, The this is that the first tubes was JayCee, no sealant on the PR seals, it was ok against head and case. No leak there. It was just between the two tubes and o-rings. The tubes dosīnt slides free , to tight ...maybe with duoble springs. Ask me...would not by them again.

Scat tubes with 3 o-rings .. yes used sealant on PR tube seals .. its oil everywere so at the time i canīt see were the leaks are ... it could be some leak on thevalve covers too, check it tomorrow..

Here are some pics..

If you don't use the "right" length Jaycees for "your" motor they will leak. I tried using "longs" on a 74mm motor, guess what they leaked. Dab some moly grease on the orings before you assemble tubes too. What stroke is your motor and which rods? If you have a big wide motor and short tubes or vice-versa, be prepared for an oil slick.

X2 - but only on the head side. Not leaking a drop.

The motos is 2332cc, 5,7" rods, 94x82 pistons, 9,5mm engine autoline engine case. So itīs a wide engine Smiley
And cylinder barrels are machined 1,7mm in bottom end to have 0 cumbusion chamber i barrels.
Runs with 0,40" (1mm) copper rings, comp ratio 10,5:1

Hello,
This is probably the best PRT on the market.
The inside of the bigger tube is machined to get a perfect circle and hard anodizied which helps to get low friction. This keeps the pressure on the sealings and they wonīt stuck after some time on the engine, which I have experienced from some other brands.
