Yeah... I know, probably the last website to be asking this on. But, why not? Looking for one of these:
that will fit the pre '68 Beetle engines. Anyone in So Cal have one that I can drive to pick up? Thanks in advance.

Bummer. Drove out there, today. All that they had were the late ones. Oh well... the search continues. Found a few on The Samba... but does anyone in So Cal have one? I'll drive out to pick it up.

Right on Mark! For some reason that little piece of tin is one of my favorite things  The GTV still has one, and we even put one on Slingle Cab- albiet very trimmed down to clear the Berg pulley! |

It is a Treuhaft distributor with an electronic conversion from Mallory. Slinger went nuts and polished it  |

sorry to hijack the topic for a bit, but does the treuhaft has a markingstripe like an original distributor to find n° 1 cylinder? i can't find a marking on my Scat one (similar to this one.)
