PowderPuff VW Racing Rocks

« on: July 21, 2008, 14:49:31 pm »

Turned out to be a great day (weather wise), but was kind of bummed that only 5 ladies showed up to race in the class.  Even so, we all had a great time.

During qualifing, Kathie Craig broke her Tranny on the line, which was a huge bummer.

So we had Candy Larsen, Dee Berg, Courtney Berg & myself left.  Courtney and Dee raced eachother, with Courtney def Dee.  Candy & I raced with Candy def me.  We all broke out, just Candy & Courtney did less.  (There was a tail wind when we raced).

Courtney def Candy in the finals!

Congratulations to Courtney & Candy.  You both did well!

We all had a great time, as we always do.

I want to Thank my Husband, Mike for always getting my car ready, and being my biggest moral support. My car ran great!  I want to apologize to him also, since I normally let him decide and put my ET on my car for eliminations.  Well this time I played stubborn (don't know why?), and if I went with his number, then I would have not broken out, and won. So from now on - I won't say NO to what he wants me to put on my car.

Congratulations to all the winners - there was alot of great racing.

Thanks Clyde for awesome prize money & for putting on the race - I wish we could of had more ladies, but maybe next time.
