First of all thank you Kobus Freddy and Mike, you have improved everything!

Thanks for the VIP passes to the SCC crew, Kobus! Thomas at CSP came thru for us and supplied us with CSP passes too, to kind THANKS!

We were given a perfect location to set up our SCC stand... adjacent to the bleach box... noses filled with rubber smoke and and ringing ears... just like back in Norway!! We had the best time and sold SCC T-shirts like never before... quite an achievement with the competition just a few feet away...
It blew my mind to sell our tribute t-shirts to Roger Crawford and the Schley brotheres, when I realized who they were... the Schley's was kind enugh to answer a "few"  questions about their innovations in the VW hipo world! We must have been talking for 1.5 hours! Roll Eyes That was HUGE for me, once again, THANKS for the FK89 boys!!  Grin

I have to thank everyone that came over to chat and get some info about SCC, the feedback is soo positive... the bravest bought tickets and they have more fun in store for August! See you boys and girls!! People want action and they get that at EBI and SCC!  Kiss

When it comes to the sosializing EBI was second to none!! Folke"vogn" and I had a  blast with the DFL boys last year... so the recipe for success was ready from the get go! We had a blast with Dirk and Tobi with Rune thrown in to counterbalance the madness! The last thing i remember was fleeing the scene when the "rat" photographing commenced (we were innocent bystanders!!).
Saturday was wet as well, but this time from above... luckily the rain gave up and the gassers came out to play as the sun set... mind blowing!
Us Scandinavians had a nice ringside BBQ, too cool!
We spent the night in the CSP lounge until they run out of beer (sorry Grin),  then we headed over to the DFL stand with fab's and Monkey! The lounge chat lasted for hours until one of us fell asleep... Grin Grin Grin Cheesy

Sunday I was honored to be asked to do jury duty with the big boys ;-) Judging is fucking hard!! Especially as the most obvious winner was a member of the jury and therefor of limits... Wink  only joking, the right guys won!!

My weekend ended with a preview of the movie "Back in the day" made by the EBI/DAS crew!! OUTSTANDING, what a production... this movie is going to make a serious dent in the cal-look timeline! Way to go boys!

I meet so many Loungers and acquaintances that I just know I would miss a few by trying to list them up, but it was great talking to you all!!
The most amazing thing is that we can do it all over again in a month or so!

Thanks Merethe, Øyvind, Rune, Johnny and Jalle for all the hard work this weekend! You guys ROCK!

Only the VIP spaces, where to big and to many.
I like to look around between the gassers, like last year.
But a monkey with a suit stopped me,becaus I 'm not VIP enough.
I hope that will change next year.

All in All I Think Kobus And Crew Should Be Thanked Without them and Gasser Garage (Russell), CSP (Gunter),and Flat 4,FAT,Rich Kimball, there would Be no Bug In. EBI 1 went well with a few problems, EBI 2 also had some Problems but Understand this is a learning Process Each Bug In Will Get Bigger And There will always Be Some Problems. When Vic Wilson Put on the 1st Bug In at OCIR in 1968 It had its Problems to but 40 years Later they are still not Perfect But It is a Place Where all The VW Family Can Get Together and Have Fun and Share Ideas and show and Race There Cars With Other VW Gearheads. I Think We Owe Kobus And EBI Crew A Big Thank You Without them there would be no EBI  Also A Big Thanks To Gasser Garage,CSP,Flat 4,FAT,for putting on a Good Show. Just My 2 Cents   Being into VW's as long as I have putting on any event of this size is a Major Task for anyone, I would like to Thank Everyone envolved in putting on  EBI event and am looking forward to EBI 3  Being in the USA  I Have not been able to Attend but I am Planning for EBI 3

Ummm, I know it may seem an odd question, you write as if you were there but why are you thanking somebody for an event you didn't go to this year and have never been to? And Envolved = Involved, yes? Just checking...

I have already posted thanks, but haven't a problem with doing it again.  The weekend was awesome, I and Rachael had a blast.  It puts most of the other shows to shame.  I just need the dates for next year, so i can sort out my holidays already!

Thanks to all: Kobus (needs to pay somebody to video it for him, then he might see some of it), Fred, Gasser boys (Russell, Wray, Kev et al), Dyno Don, Ritchie, Larry, any anybody else I have missed out.

A HUGE THANKYOU AND A BIG HUG Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley
