Ive seen the posts and they all look good but this is the truth  Grin

1) Firstly the EBI car still has a rear drive problem ! bent axle we think...
2) Roger Crawford broke the clutch in the Ghia
3) KS broke my Gearbox in the Ghia, last year he broke my engine in the Ghia "Reverse burnouts dont work !) PS note that the comment about the gearbox being sloppy ! never heard him say that until after he broke it !
4) Flakey Jake has now got a seized engine.
5) We only got a 11.38 out of underdog, was wanting it to be in the 10s
6) The fastest time of the weekend in my cars was an american despite KS and Mr Webb assuring me they were the FastBrit and FasterBrit  Grin
7) keith took it easy with my new gearbox ! "thats how we have got some great wheelie shots !!!!!!" Shocked
Cool Ferry ride was poop becuase of the weather
9) Its all over for another year  Cry

but other than that it was quite good fun......... Grin

I guess the only bad part about having a bunch of badass race cars is potnetially breaking them. I'm pretty impressed that you use these historic, potentially irreplaceable cars as they were intended to be used. Kudos to you, sir.  Grin

Ben, just for the lesser experienced amongst us, why is that? Why is Chimay less fast than other tracks?

Tnx,

I'll use bernies car as an example, last year at Avon Park(the weekend before Bug In) 60 foot times were approx 1.42s, with the same set up at chimay, 60 foot times were approx 1.55 due to the lack of traction, a tenth at the 60 foot will equate to 5 tenths at the quarter. plus you can see that traction was lacking and it's boom booms favourite excuse Grin

Ben,I think you are a bit optomistic there, example  my car 1.60  60 ft 10.003 ET,now my best 60ft is 1.37 [9.78 ET] By your calcs on the 60ft I should have run 8.63 Shocked Shocked Shocked

And the downhill of Chimay makes up alot for N/A cars as they tend to not overpower the track so much Smiley

Looking at your time's in the 1/8th in Flakey Jake , think you should look into earning a reputation in a fresh new dog  Wink as in Russell's words so called fastbrits weren't up to it  Wink Roll Eyes

I wouldn't say that is a fair example as turbo cars are typically a little slower on the launch than a n/a car... but boy they do make up for it on the top end Smiley
