It's too hot to drive the GTV across the desert in July, and it costs to much in gas to drive the Tundra. So that's a big "no".

Well, we'll be there in the Blue Car. I can't say I'm excited about going, although the internet weather outlook is calling for high 90°s. Not too terrible. It was well over 110° at Famoso in Bakersfield a few weeks ago and the Blue Car didn't like it one little bit!
I think if it were not for being in the PRA championship series, we would pass on this one.
I really don't like Fontana as a race track. It's basically a parking lot.

Don't count on it. There'll be plenty there. Should be a full contingent of west coast PRA racers as well as a bunch of the usual southern california crowd that can't bring themselves to make any races outside their area. The unfortunate thing about Fontana is that it's a slow track compared to others in California. I don't know what it is, but I can set up our pit area in a clear area away from the crowds, and very soon, it's so jammed in we can barely navigate in and out of our pit space.
With Dyno Don on the mic, it should be a pretty good show!

Yeah, it pretty much goes without saying that the sun will be out. Close to 100° called for. It's been hotter than that up in Central California.
People outside of racing are praying for rain.

Fred, I know some of the PowderPuff ladies will be there for sure. Myself Candy Larsen Dee Berg Kathie Craig I can bet Courtney Berg, Margo Grise. Esther Dempsey, Bre & Kelly Dunkel will be there also + others. Hopefully we will have a big PowderPuff Class. I wish that we could have all of the ladies that were at EBI2 racing also. What a wonderful bunch of ladies that I got to race with there. Adele-Karin-Jo-Ingrid-Heather-Vanessa!  I know that Adele & Jo from England will be here for Las Vegas in October, and they will be racing there in the regular classes. Good Times! Susy |
