Great to see it on all four wheels & with the powerplant in place Kev, nice work!
Cheers
Hopefully catch up at end of the month
Neil, I'd no idea about just how much flex there is in the torsion housings & shock towers before starting this, even in a full bodied car let alone where everything's been cut out like my car.
Can never have too much GOOD advice!

No problem Kev.
Things are quite at the moment, were down the workshop this week aligning the doors and getting some prep done on them.
I will post up pictures when there is something worth looking at
Are you still hoping to get your car out for this season? Can't wait to see it

Home for a couple of weeks & managed a little bit of garage time
Apart from a couple of minor items the motors all built up with turbo etc now, just waiting for some more heat wrap for the exhaust & a pipe to the wastegate to make.
The fuel systems also pretty much done, I'm waiting for 1 fitting for the filter & theres a bracket to be made for the fuel pump.
Still a few little jobs left before it can be fired up but the lists getting shorter

Less of a 'retirement' more like 'retired due to ill health'

No the gold car going back on the road with a IDA motor and Project X will be for a bit of fun at the track.
Hope to get Project X finish for Euro Bug In next year. But I'm sure we all know it will be years before it done.
When you wanting to get yours finish Kev and you to Mike.

Well I wanted it finished last year for SCC
Stopped setting deadlines now as I'm going to be away most of the next year or 2, just picking away at it when I'm home.
Ideally EBI 2013 tho'

Been out having a play with fitting the shell & gapping wings etc before bolting it down for good.
Looking good so far, I'll paint the doors then fit them for good though.
Few other small jobs ticked off so its progressing, just a lot slower than I'd like...

Has it really been 18months since I touched this..
I'm on a mission now to get it done, I want to make drag day this year among other things!
I finished mounting the fuel cell & pump along with the protector frame, I tied it into the front cage section & the lower beam tube so its protected from the front & underneith.
Hopefully I'll get the paintwork finished soon & get it wired before too long

Yep noticed that
I'd tell you not to get sidetracked with other cars but I'm probably not the best person to advise on that..
(I'll probably have a mk1 16v sitting in the drive be the end of next week...)
See you at VoWo
