That's nice . Every VW is wellcome each event , and it is a good chance to do testing before SCC and Dragday . Looks like "the boss " at Bitburg will get a VW to drive very soon .  Cheesy

We had a very nice weekend , good weather and fast cars . A big thanks to all who found the way to Bitburg . I saw a lot of nice cars from Belgium , France and Luxemburg , a lot of DAS guys and ladies . I think some new records !?
I am happy about Karin making consistant 12,2 runs  best 12,1 and 2. place at the bracket racing  . Looks like SCC , Bugshow and dragday can come ?

Thanks

Udo

WOW, nice!  Some aggressive weight reducement on this car or a very short gearbox I suppose?  Massive wheelie time...  Shocked   Shocked   My beetle doesn't do this with the same heads...  Cry    Grin

Our clubmember Jürgen was there, too. He managed to have a new personal best with his Oval. It's full metal, full bumpers, full everything exept for the passenger seat and the rear bench and he drove a 11,81 sec @ 111,66 mph

Congrats to him, having the fastest street car in DFL!

Does anyone has pictures from his car last weekend? For those who don't know his Oval, here it is:

To Steve and Dem,

Yep engine did between 165 and 170 HP on the Dyno without fan belt 4 years ago.

No weight reducing, full body, full trim. (rear bench and passenger seat removed)

And still, I do weight 95 kg myself  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

But what changed is a new gearbox, i'm passing the 400 m line at 6500 rpm.

And for the first time did my burn out in second gear wich seems to work great and be more gentle for the gearbox.

Now next step is to have this engine running on E85 fuel and maybe a higher compression as I'm "only" at 9:1 or 9,5:1

So I'm happy with the results I just hope this gearbox will keep it up for a while  Grin
