Shubee,
You owned "67 CONV"? That's an amazing coincidence. I wrote a story for VWTrends (March 2004) about a yellow '67 convertible. Very nice Cal Look car!
During the early '90s, the owner, Dennis Foronda, was approached by somebody at the VW Classic. The guy said he remembered the car, as he saw it at one of the Bug-Ins. Later, Dennis found a Bug-In 24 dash plaque inside the door, while restoring the car. Anyway, Dennis always wondered the story behind this convertible...
Mystery solved!

Hi Stephan Yes it was the same Car I saw the car for sale on Samba and was looking at the pictures an noticed the Lic, Plate 67 CONV  i said to my Wife Hey Thats My Old Car it had been totally redone I E Mailed Dennis and he told me it used to Be Yellow When He Got it, I met him at the VW Classic 2 years ago and shared the History of the car with him, Heres a little History of the Car I bought the car in 1977 it was lowered and had a Complete 69x88 (1700cc) Empi Motor with 40DCN Webers and was Bright Yellow with a Black Top and Black Interior and 14 x 5 1/2 Alloys When I Sold The Car I Had 15x5 1/2 & early 15x6 s on it I Sold It To A Friend he drove it for about six months and decided to run it threw the auction it did not meet the reserve when he was driving it out a guy from San Diego hit him up and made him an offer he SOLD it. the guy bought it for his wife after about three weeks she told her husband she didnt like the car because it was a stick? So he put it up for Sale The Dennis saw it and Bought it Dennis Re did the whole Car he painted back the Original Color Yucon Yellow put a Brown Cavas top and RED? interior  I liked the car but thought the RED Interior looked out of place. Dennis sold the Car. At this years VW Classic I saw the Car Again The car has been Changed again The New Owner Brad Thompson lives in Huntington Beach He Changed to Top Color To Black Canvas and Changed That RED interior Back to Black the only Thing I Did not like about the car now is the Brad put a Black Headliner in it I perfer White Headliners in Convertibles The Car Also Got a 2110 Motor with 48 IDA's and a Bulit Trans. This Car has Gone Threw 4 Owners Since I Owned It And It Is Still A Very Nice Car But If You Look at Pictures you can sure tell an old Original Cal Look From a New or Redone Cal Look Dont Get Me Wrong  I Like The Car It just Dosen't have the same look if you ask me..  Third Picture is Me And Dennis Talking about the Car At The VW CLASSIC 2 Years ago!!  The Last Picture is the Way it Looks Now that Brad has It  To Low For Me!!
