Cool, nice looking track looks like there is plenty of rubber down for the weekend, Not much happening at the moment just jnr dragsters lol.

These track crew is the best i know . They had the problem during the last years that they had to clean the track after each event and they prepared it for the events only on friday evening . They run up to promod and the track is perfect . Now they can leave the rubber . For VW's it is the best track , like shakespear , not too sticky  but well done !! And they have three days events now , so they make 8 qualifyings . I only can recommend it for everybody who wants to run best ET's .

I don't know , they do not run Fia events . Here in this area there are only fia events at hockenheim

I would love to go to the Niro Olympix, but it looks a little too organised! It looks like the pits are locked down? Or do the public have access?

How far is it for you to Drachten?

Nitro Olympics has changed  to a show event during the years , they run up to top fuel but they canceled our super street class for example . The first years 10 years of Hockenheim we were there each year . We had up to 250 competitors , and during the years we had no longer fun there .If you want to see good racing i think your events at santa pod are more interesting .
Drachten is in the north of Holland next to the iselmeer and i love to be there , it is a very familar event like shakespear Smiley . We have to travel 350 km . that is close for us .

Thats a real shame about Hokenheim, Now I am not so keen to go Sad
I suppose we are lucky here in the UK not as far to travel and some good racing. I hope to get to Mantorp and Gardermoen at some point too I hear these are good tracks.

We will be there next year with more cars . Thomas , Karin and my car will be there on the same event , hopefully with more luck than this year . It was a good idea from the outlaws to tell us to come ! Again thanks for that .

That was an awesome weekend , good weather a lot of racing and personal best top speed of 199,5 km/h - 124,6 miles . It would be nice to see some more Käfer next year .

Hope to see more beetles too.I posted a topic on some dutch forums but as they say dutch are cheapo's haha they wont wanna pay the fee for the weekend.

what will be the cost of a whole weekend racing with a street beetle?
And do I need a race licence?

Yes , you need a race licence . If you are no member of the explosion club it is 215 euros entry fee, members pay 165
