I'll be flying into Finland on Saturday, September 20th and will be there for a little over a week. I'm going there on a business trip, to deliver training to customers in Espoo (Helsinki).

I'll be staying in Helsinki city center, and will have free time after ~5:00pm during the week, and all day on the weekend days that I am there.

If you're reading this, and can suggest things to do/see or would like to grab some food and a beer or two while I'm in Helsinki, please reply to this post or drop me a line -- hotrodvw@need4speed.com

Hi all,

I've replied to a number of Finnish V-Dubbers via email, but thought I'd post the details of my stay here too, in case I missed anyone.
 
I will be arriving in Helsinki on Saturday September 20th, returning home on Sunday the 28th. I will be working in Espoo during the day/business week, and staying at the Radisson SAS Plaza hotel in Helsinki.

Looking forward to meeting a number of you, and checking out VWs and shops in the area soon!

It's bright and sunny on Sunday morning now, and the weather looks to be great for the week.

I'll be meeting up with some of the Finnish Lounge members later today, and hope to have plenty of new friends, great pics, and stories to post soon.

It was great to meet everyone today. Thanks for the garage tours, beers, and making me feel welcome.

When I get a chance, I've got plenty of pics to post, and will probably put 'em in a new thread.

Looks like I'll be back in Helsinki again this year, from ~March 28th-April 7th.

I'm looking forward to another great trip, and hope to be able to write up another trip report with new pics and stories - perhaps with more of a winter theme this time.

Drats. I tried, but schedule and travel plans won't permit a stopover in London this time.

I'm hoping to make it to EBI3 this summer, so maybe I'll get to check out the European cars and meet the related crews then.
