got to my sisters place to get my car keys and find-out where she had stored my 911 .
got to my car to find the fuel tank empty 

got flashed off a speed camera on the way to the petrol station 

got back to toxteth just in time to see the fireworks .....

people decided to shoot oneanother again last night 

freakin sirens and helicopters made sure i didnt sleep to well !!

drove back to the safety of manchester this morning

after not driving at all for 4 weeks , the being forced to drive round sweden in a transpoter tdi , i suppose a speeding ticket was inevitable as soon as i got behind the wheel of my baby 

had a clean licence as well .
hoping there was no camera/film in it !!

at was a rear facing camera so i could get away with it ....

however , the girls have driven down to cornwall in there westy .
theres bound to have been an AA incident to give them an alibi

i was going to post a news link to the toxteth shooting incident , but just reading my last post about a westy incident reminded me of when the girls first got to see the van ....

i had talked them into getting a vw camper , and had offered to do the resto on it , i picked it up on a midweek night and drove it to our mums house to store it until they came on saturday .

so on saturday i was like
" you can drive it to my workshop , i'll lead the way in my van and i'll keep my eye on you in the mirror and stop if theres any problems " ...... " dont worry about all that stuff , there'll be no police about " etc.

so we set off , about 1 mile down the road i saw the cover for the sliding door come away and start flapping around like a samurai sword , i started to slow , noticing the oncoming traffic hugging the curb and keeping a wide distance . i looked in my mirror again and there was a police car right behind them !!!

well , i couldnt stop , as i wasnt strictly legal in my van either !!!

it turns out the cop was angry at first , but seeing 2 women in it who claimed to have just bought it , was totally amused that anyone would buy such a thing , and was amazed at the noise the engine was making
in the end , he helped them remove the side trim and sent them on there way wishing them good luck !!!

just got back from dropping my car off in liverpool .

my other sister was following me , to bring me back to manchester .

on the m62 , there was a sign . roadworks 2 miles .....

i slowed down , but as my speedo isnt currently working i called my sister and asked how fast we were going .

" 45 " she said .

" ok , i'm gonna speed up . tell me when i get to 50 " i said ....

so i did .
then i did some more .
then i did some more .

"how fast now ?" i asked .

"still 45 " she said .

then i looked in the mirror .......

she hadnt even kept up with me !!! 

dumb .

on the way home i asked her how fast we were doing on the way , she said ......
" dunno . i dont really bother with the speedo unless i see a camera , or a car comes past me dead fast "

i remember the time they came to my house ....

after the visit i walked them out and they started the camper .... 

"WTF" i said , "has that thing got any oil in it ?"

so , we drove to the 24hr petrol station at the top of my road to use the lights while i showed them how to check the oil .....

when i'd explained/showed them , moira turned round to julie and said " see !! i told you we should have done that course at the college !! "

OMG !! these 2 aren't kids . theyre teachers and julies been driving about 23 years !!!

after my aborted trip to sweden , i flew back into liverpool last night ....

to find out the city has been invaded by a giant alien spider  !!

its like war of the worlds over there 

( watch the news , i suspect its going to go on a rampage )
