Spoolin some nice rims on a few of those cars.

We spent the weekend with friends at the Coronado race on the base.
Located in San Diego at the Navy North Island airport runways and taxiways.
Fun event, here's my Sunday race video.
Had to start last due to dnf day before.

Just finished an engine (3.6 300rwhp), trans, brakes, body and paint restoration on our RSR+.
Ready for Vintage racing and the occasional putt around town.
Photos are on the 17 inch shop wheels, prefer to see it on its 15 inch wheels, Fuchs or Jongbloeds.

Spoolin thanks wide hips for sure, but still fits in the trailer.  Wink
Yes the very same, had a blast at the Coronado races.
Nice event coverage link, here is another. http://www.sportscardigest.com/coronado-speed-festival-2014-report-photos/
Qualified 2nd overall in the event Saturday morning, but that afternoon a DNF (suspension failure) meant we had to start last on Sunday.
Fixed it overnight and Sunday moved from last to 5th in the Sunday race, passing 8 or 9 cars on the first lap.

Thanks!  Cool
At Coronado there was a red Karmann Ghia vintage race car entered in the event.
I was too busy with my own car to find out more about it.

I wanted to come out a play with you guys -- but by the time I felt my car was worthy, the registration was closed

++++++++++++++

Went over to friends house to help him tune his Truggie -- This was built from the leftovers of a Tacoma that his kid rolled over -- He has a SDS system and needed someone to drive while he modified the tune -- Who was I refuse some seat time in one of these things -- He has a decent dirt road near him that weaved in and out of some power lines for about 4 miles, which is about the right length for a nice power pull if you ask me LOL -- We went up and down this road for over 2 hours and then as we got to the far end of the road,,,, yep ran out of gas LMAO -- thank god for cell phones ,,,, a couple of calls and help was on the way ,, I really didn't want to do a 4 mile hike today LOL  It was a hoot sliding this damn thing around the corners -- and talk about eating the bumps and rocks at speed,,,, 20+" of travel is cooool

Who was I refuse some seat time in one of these things --

heck ya, I'd of done the same in a heartbeat!
In fact the only way I'd get in one those is if I was driving, at 5/10 speed.
Car control with the high center of gravity and and 20" of travel over rough terrain takes finesse.
I had a street legal baja bug off road pre runner back in the 70's.
Post some photos of it with the body on too.
