I think it was a welded on jack pad, looks easy to hit on something.
It was replaced by a slide in removable jack pad.

That's a hell of a picture! What's the story behind that? Who just dumps a Stratos?

Very nice. The 4.5" Fuchs are a strange looking wheel from that angle tho!
neils for me it look like the fuchs hubcap

I was working at the BAP/Geon store in Santa Ana one Saturday. A guy came in with an early 911. I had to go check something on it so I could get him the right part. As I'm walking out, I can see he's got a set of these hubcaps on it. As I was walking back in the store, I looked again at the hubcaps. I could see through the slots that the hubcaps were mounted on real Alloys. <smh>

I mean, how could someone possibly justify hacking a Stratos like that? Regardless of whether the car has been rescued or not, it never deserved that kind of treatment...

Just got back from Italy and While there I did a tour of the Ferrari Museum----

The first building is the original shop where Enzo assembled the first cars -- It now displays a lot of the early racing engines and a few racing cars and a Ferrari powered boat

I spent a lot of time in there even though the building didn't have any AC, I was sweating so much I was melting LOL

I loved the dual 4 barrel Webers on this supercharged V-12 in this boat

The "New" building did have AC and some very sweet cars on display -- My understanding is that they rotate the vehicles on display regularly -- I took a ton of pictures, but I only put a few up

Your view as you walk in---

I fell in love with this 'Superfast' -- even with the La Ferrari just past it, I keep coming back to it ----

They had this Tom Mears creation on displayed that was built on a 250 chassis -- -- very cool 70's custom build
