This car just did 9.26 and 247 km with a lot of wheel spin and the turbo boost is not as high as it was at SCC  Shocked

Sorry for OT but: It was with same boost as SCC event. (But that was with approx 1bar less boost than the 850bhp dyno pull) 9.26 run had almost same 201m ET, same 201m speed and same 60ft as the SCC run, but with no "trottle lift" on 4th and/or 5th gear.

The car now has licence down to ET 7.50s and 240kmh+

Hello and welcome Marcus,

Did you perhaps drive the car?
I have to ask: at what boost pressure did you then run at both these runs?

Thanks,
Walter

Unfortunately I did not have time to take pictures during the event but I did spend some relaxing days with some friends afterwards;

I can imagine how hard those few days must have been!

Tongue

.... This car just did 9.26 and 247 km with a lot of wheel spin and the turbo boost is not as high as it was at SCC ...

I love the fact that they got sent home because it was too quick but within a week they're back with a car to spec! The car warrants a topic of its own in Pure Racing, it's totally mad.

Thanks,

No I am not the driver, but I rent garage place in Tor Øyvinds workshop...

I know the boost, but I am not sure if Tor Øyvind wants it to be "official" yet Embarrassed

He mentioned something about "let them be curios for a litle while"... I dont want to write anything without his "blessing" Embarrassed
Though I am sure it will come out in the open any how..

You have to back it up within 1% on the same day to get ity official, think they made only one fast run.But anyway, their car is mutch faster and more powerful than mine.I'm sure Skinne would have backed the time up if they got a bit more time on Sunday,I'm impressed not only by the car but also their driver. In my case this only means even more time in the garage and another winter with a slim wallet( Angry),of course we'll try to fight back next year.. Thanks for your honest respons! I totally understand, but it sure boggles the mind  Smiley

I mean, 1 bar less boost than the dyno-run probably still has 1-1,5 bar remaining in order to run a time like that on a 2,8 ltr engine. And its a heavy car by the looks of it, I say about my cars weight, around 900-920 kg (about 2000 lbs)

I agree with Mat about the driving aspect/ handling things on the car, as well:
No 'Big Wig' wing, no relocated (higher) rear suspension (by the looks of it), no shortenend front beam, totally clean and still running 245 km/u and back to 0. Total respect for all that!

But i guess the guys who do raise their rear suspension and put on a big wing do it for a reason.. Roll Eyes

It doesn't make it less impressing that this is a fully driveable streetcar..
How many streetdriven beetles do you know of that can lower the boost and run a low 9?   Grin

Its a mental car and I it makes me think somehow of Russ Fellow's car. Not just because of the G50 gearbox  Grin
