tyre pressures

Not sure if this is really in the correct place but I have been looking at some of the cars on here and noticed that the majority seem to have more pressure in the rear tyres than me. I HAVE 205 65's and just wondered what everyone thought i should run at, many thanks Alex

tire size does not mean you change tire pressure.  weight of car means you change tire pressure.  run tire pressure as per manual for the street.

There are no rules... but that sounds about right. Scwhimmer and I were just having this conversation at Nick's, earlier this month. My car handles and rides good, but I'm gonna take his advice and lower the pressure on the front tires.

Humm, I was running 30 psi in my 145s per the Muir book. Wonder if that may have contributed to the squirrelly handling at highway speeds.

Very much so, Louis. Try lowering the pressure in your front tires till you find the best handling. Our cars have no weight on the front wheels, so it makes sense. I'm gonna give it a try and see if there's any improvement.

I run about 19, maybe 20 psi in my 145s, and feel that is why I have not had many scary moments with braking on my skinnies.

22 in the fronts and 28 in the rears for street duty

22 in the front and 11 in the rears for track use.
