If you are talking about making stuff from scratch, the only thing I can think of is my Gearbox girdle. And the rollbar...

This is my tach that I built from a Talbot mirror and a VDO gauge. I put blue leds in it for illumination.I am kind of proud of it!My friend Dan Green spun the custom front bezel for me, so it wasn't completely done by me I guess..  :

Shown in this image are my alternator mount and fill tower and center pivot throttle linkage (barely visible), my custom 4 1/2" crank pulley and my breather box.

In these images, chrome moly front beam (link pin on a ball joint pan) and custom lite weight front brakes

There's a bunch of odd bits, but I don't have photos of everything. That's one of the more enjoyable aspects of the VW thing. Building my own stuff.....just because I can

That is one cool tach mount! Has a very rally car, or even aircraft feel to it. Would go real well with a steering wheel that had some satin stainless on it.

I made a gearbox mid mount and rear engine support, mainly to save money, why pay £70 when I can make it for £20 Cool

Does sheet metal count?

Again, I made it to save money as it was a budget Ghia resto.

[/quoteThanks guys! I have a real EMPI wheel with the satin stainless that goes along with it,I tried to keep a theme going . Here are my rear jump seats loosely based on early Porsche rears, I fabbed the brackets from angled aluminum with quick release pins.

Yes, I have heat in my car.  I only need it when I travel out of state.  It usually doesn't get very cold in Phoenix. I did use it the last time I drove to Colorado.
