I know this isn't Cal look but...........Looks like it just sold on ebay and headed to France? Anyone know who the new owner is? Hope they get it out to some events and enjoy it.

Geoff, isn't or wasn't that your car? or did you build it for another person? I'm assuming that if it was your car, it's already changed hands at least once since the HVWs article.

Of all the "Rods" I have seen both in person or in print, this is by FAR the finest example there is.

Yeah that was my car, I sold it a few years ago to Eric Parsons in CA, He then sold it a year later to the person who just listed it on Ebay.

I really like it too but I think for the money I would buy at least a Model A.

I first saw the car in person at Lenny's shop a few years ago during the Classic week. I am not a fan of the what some call the Volksrod look, not until at least I saw this car. Geoff did an incredible job and the little details are all over the place. I again saw the car in Montery last  year at the Russo Steele auction downtown, I am guessing that is who sold it on ebay most recently, but I could be wrong. If you haven't seen it in person, you should do yourself a favor and make the effort to check it out.

Look forward to your next creation Geoff.

This car can be seen at our place anytime. We will have it for sure until the VW Classic.   The opwner in France is a real cool guy. He drove the crap out of it when he was here last month. Then he asked me if I can store it until June. He said to use it like it was ours and he wants to see some patina on it when he returns.

oh OK.. You asked for it.. LOL

I did agree on the thought that ALL rat rods where CRAP RODS. The first time at the classic viewing ,thoughts changed, MANY neat things done to that rod. TRICK RIDE for sure. bill

I am not a Rat Rod fan either but this Rod is a work of art. There is so much detail that you can only see in person. The lines are so tasteful, nothing is overdone! Hate to see it leave So. Cal.

Great job Geoff!!

I loved that car, and like others, I'm not so much a fan of the VolksRod movement.  Most are such shoddily-built or else cookie-cutter "flat black primered" examples of relatively low craftsmanship, IMO, and look ridiculous, but the attention to detail on Geoff's car was something to behold.

It sure did! Thanks again for the dash Frenchy.  I sure do miss that car and hope to see it at the Classic this year before it heads overseas.
