i don't know exactly where my seat came from , but for me they came from an gt bug , special edition in uk is it correct , i love that seat but crappy now

It doesn't seem too bad, a little paint respray, new seats, a nice engine and roll it again ! It's cool that you've find a way to keep your first vw.

no nico it was my first car , and the channel are the origianl one , and now there's some big hole under those one , 4 news fenders , some hole in the nose of the floorpan , rust on the body , as i said it was my first car 
but if i rebuild this one one day , i will do a better body work like the 61 , sandblast etc.....

correct dem , but if you look the car there the chrome trim everywhere on the car at the time she was an old school

Hi Fabs,

No, I like it.  I always hated my black plastic mirror in my 72, I didn’t know there are older looking models that fit.  Did you modify it or is it just bolt on?
Maybe you are selling your “resto mirror” ?

i worked on the other car today to remove the gearbox, surprise the silent bloc on the front is 3 bolts and the mechanism of clutch is different, the abutment is driven(guided)

I suppose that I am going to have to dismantle the noses from eazch box, and invert them

Here is my 2 mechanisms of abutment of clutch
the first one is guided is on the box that I to put on 61
the second is the ancient of the box which i removed
Is it possible to invert 2 mechanisms, not to change a clutch, because I have the crankshaft line which is balanced and I don't know if my clutch was it also Otherwise I have another clutch for guided abutment  Or then I have the other model of clutch with a washer in the middle and on my other engine(on the 74) I had moved this slice do we can??(last pict in red)

and is it possible to invert those parts because it depend the choice of the clutch , and the spring on the 74 gearbox broke  (the one i will put on the 61)
i want some info to have the better result

Ah yes I also forgot the drain plug below the box, I don't arrive has to open it and it already in the time (in 94) and with which product then I to clean the inside of my gearbox because the oil was rather thick and I shall like restarting with a quite own box

hi Fabs,
1)you will have to swap the nose of the boxes
2)for the clutch: so you will install the box with guided throwout bearing? and your clutch on the motor is for non guided? I think you can remove the guide and install the older type clutch fork
3) you can exchange the springs and arms with no problems, thats what i did for my new motor as well

the first pic is good: you need a pressure plate without the "washer"

today i removed the nose of all gearbox and  inverted them while putting back well the stick of hockey in the good housing, it was not so terrible as I believed

here're the 2 nozes of each gearboxes and the 2 gearboxes without the noze  ..............................

next step go to the sandblaster to clean and remove the grease on the gearbox
