I'm not very fond of that design.  It looks too "street rod" billet-y in my opinion.  But hey, that's all it is, an opinion, right? Grin

I have a Vintage Speed roof rack on my Karmann Ghia, the quality is very high and the guy is nice to deal with.
Dont think this shifter is realy the right kind of look for us Cal lookers, but would look sweet in a rod styled bug.
Anyway its nice to see something new and different Wink

I like it, I would paint the shift knob white though. It would work in the right car.

I like it. I would loose the rifling holes, polish the handle add a boot to the bottom. Nice spot on top of the reverse lockout lever for line lock. Looks like a quality product, but unless I had one to trial run in the Notch,...I will have to go on guessing. I like seeing new products for our hobby pop up, keeps the love alive.

I met this guy at EBI and saw all his products in person, and I honestly don't know if there is a nicer quality product available in the vw scene- everything this guy makes is TOP NOTCH!!!  The prices are a little high, but realistically there isn't anything avaliable that you can really compare his products to, so it's kind of a moot point.

As far as aesthetics, would everybody be happier if he just made another Berg/Bugpack/Hurst/Empi copy?  Keep in mind, some people out there actually like the look of the Empi Eliminator shifter... Shocked

Hi all, I am the proprietor of a new UK based, performance parts company that will officially hit the scene in the New Year. We are the UK dealers for Vintage Speed and have the majority of the range in stock at the moment, including this awesome shifter!

I agree it is not entirely Cal-Look and will not be to everyone’s tastes, but it is still an amazing piece of kit and something new and different to the scene. Just wanted to inform you all that it can be anodised black or to most other colours that you may require and I am sure, as like his other items can be ordered without the ‘Swiss cheese’, weight saving holes.  Wink

An example of some of the other Vintage Speed items that we stock are:
>68 Engine Lid stand offs at £18
Stainless steel Fuel Tank Clamps at £21
Stainless Steel Tacho Mounts for 3 3/8 size and Monster tachometer for LHD and RHD at £15 and £18.
Stainless Steel Front Licence Plate brackets at £23.
Roof Racks (for all you true die hard Cal-Look fans… Wink) for Type 1 Beetles and Karmann Ghias at £290

I hope you all agree that they are not unfairly priced.  Grin

Our website will hopefully be up and running in the next 3 weeks so keep an eye on WWW.PROWAGEN.COM for other brands we stock.

If you would like any information on any of the items now, PM myself or ‘Prowagen’ on here or alternatively email sales@prowagen.com

Cheers guys and sorry for the hijack of the thread Keith.. and glad you like the shifter…! Grin

Lawrence.

The reverse lock-out is in the way of where you would put the line lock button.

Not that i use mine any way. Cheesy

You could always fit a compact cylindrical switch in the top hole of the shifter.... Grin
