Started to find the wright position for the line-lock coil, made a bracket for it and tack welded it to the chassis. Yesterday i thought this was a good position, today I am not so sure. The 914 front suspension is narrowed about 2,5", this is why the original 914 steering didn't fit anymore. I made a new steering setup using old bug parts, hoping to set bumbsteer to a minimum. Paul.

I'm looking for a pedal assembly myself right now Have you got a slave cylinder for the clutch yet? yes, I'm not sure it fit's but I am trying to use an hydraulic bearing from an Opel Vectra.

I wasn't sure about the line-lock position, so back to the drawing board To feat the brake lines down to the front suspension, I had to go inside (the fueltank is in the way). So I thought why not use the line-lock as an 90deg. line fitting. I wasn't happy with the 14mm uniballs that i used for the rear suspension. So today I made a startwith the modification.
New 18mm (very strong) uniballs, M18*1,5 (left/right) adjusters and M18*1,5 weldnuts.
The plan is to place the uniballs between the outher plate and chassis, put a urethane bush in the torsiontube and weld a M18 nut in the pipe that goes in the urethane bush. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Of course the uniball has to go further in. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Here you see the plan; 14mm nut (has to be changed to 18mm), outher plate, 18mm uniball, plate to weld to the pipe, pipe that goes in the torsion tube and original rubber that will be replaced by a urethane one. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Bin playing with the rearwheel setup again today. It looked a little out of line so I found a way to check it. After mounting a laserpointer to the brakedisk, I saw it was only a few METERS out of line I looked for the exact middle of the pan (front and rear), the welded some steel profiles to it, wrote a scale on the profiles, mounted a laserpointer to the brakedisk, cut one side of the IRS bracket and started playing with the alighnment. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] Here are the two profiles welded to The chassis. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] Laser mounted to the brakedisk and pointed to the first profile. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] Laserpoint at first profile. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] Laserpoint at second profile. It's not 100% waterproof, but it's a good start. Paul.

Almost finished one of two rear adjusters (version two) . The spindle has to be shortened a bit and then I can start with the second one. Today I did the last, technical, things to the chassis I welded the bottomcorners to the torsion tube again.
