hi, bill rodgers here with 70 black ghia, soon sold to ron griener and then bought "THE" aronson/holmes ORIGINAL CAL-LOOK rag car...A few notes, bill demoss ghia had a 1835 with engle 140,w/48idas, yellow car on far left was my friend rod wagner from orange(1700 /40 webers), not a dkp member like goss. rod later bought "beckers paint" daughter's debbie beautiful black oval with centerlines.Randy welch's red rag had a 1700 w/40webs, light car, hauled butt.Kieth goss hds as i remember where done by fumio and told to do as big as possible without welding...84 okrasa x 90.5 w/engle 110 cam on most of my passenger time memories..He had 912 rods, lost one and i believe then sold car to fast brit..
Great times with HUGE vw rallies in the 70's.I remember mike o'nieil buying the black 67 with 1700 48's -deanos etc for $ 2500 at a bug in, maybe drag day..big welded heads, engle 140. He lived near me and came by w/slicks on most of the time.enough for now....DAM, I WISH I WENT TO DOUGS !!!! great pics..

Don Metz owned the brown car to the left of Mark's and he ran a 1600 with a 110, if I'm remembering right.
I believe that you're correct, Doug. Also... last I checked, Don still has the car. He lives near me, so I suppose I should go and find out.

WOW! I'm surprised... I thought Don would never part with the '68. Any idea how much he's asking? That car was built over thirty years ago... SUCH a great piece of Cal Look history.

I remember Debbie Becker as well. She brought her black sedan over to Brad's Upholstery to have the interior done. Brad did the seats in black vinyl with a white/gray/black plaid inserts with gray carpeting. She was nice!

Debbie Becker, yep she was fine! As I recall Keith Goss went out with her for a while? Bill you'd know better than I would. You should have been at Doug's Saturday!
All the best!
