Uncovered the Oval for the first time in about 2 months and got excited today! Me and Fonz worked on her all day and have gotten stuck in to modifying the rear suspension coil over mounts for multi-adjustable pivot points. Hopefully will be able to dial the rear suspension in for the next race at the end of October at Shakespeare County Raceway. Also, got some 8 inch rear Ercos to go on shortly with Mickey T's 8 inch slicks. The larger sidewall is in theory good for another 6 mph so should be able to see 141 mph @ 7,500 rpm Smiley

Hope you didn't give Fonze free reign there, I think it took him two years to design an interior door handle in Germany!  Shocked  Tongue

Do you have an 'artists impression' of what the rear suspension coil over mounts might look like yet?  Tongue  Grin

I think Gyles is already commited to the quest for Ida's and higher compression. It seems you have spurred him on with the impressive et's your car is laying down!

Squarebacks rule gyles  Smiley

I reckon the best thing you could do for your times is a more modern drag radial out back, or maybe a set of M&H DOT's. One of the guys in our club has run DOT's and slicks and sees little difference between them, so those M&H's must hook up hard (he runs lows 12's on the motor and regular mid 11's on NOS in a full weight, all steel, full interior etc. regulalry street driven bug). Also, while they look, sound and just plain ARE awesome, I don't think you'll see a huge leap from the IDF's to the IDA's.

Good point on swapping tyres. My can ran so much better on the new 8 inch Mickey Thompsons - coupled with the new rear suspension setup the car went a whole second quicker! 11.3 down to 10.3. Get them sticky tyres sorted Gyles! I have a spare pair of 6 inch Ercos you can borrow...

Cheers for the offer Matt, but I have spare 6" rims already.  Just don't leave your shop unlocked without keeping an eye on those MT's! Roll Eyes
