VW vs V8s...

Was part of our local town car show today. I was the only VW in attendance. The rest...well, 55 Chevys, 428 Mach 1 Mustangs, 69 Road Runners, Corvettes and many more muscle cars. It was amazing how much attention the VW got in comparsion to the V8 cars.
Bill Taylor, the one and only Mr. TAYCO, stopped by and visited me for a while. Bill retired to Arizona after leaving Bugpack and retiring here. It never ceases to amaze me how many people have a VW story...who fondly remember what it was like to own and drive it. Another cool find is the local Surprise city workers who run the Winter League baseball diamond...are all VW guys. I think I hear a Surprise VW show in the making. More later.
Clicked a couple shots of me setting by one of the nicest 55 Chevy's I've seen in years.

I was going to go, but got busy. Man, it was such a nice day I should have come out!
Merry Christmas

We have a show here close to home that is also a 'Hot Rod' show. My neighbor and I crashed it last yr., and then again this yr. I thought we'd ba made to park across the street, but we were greeted with open arms. I was pleasantly surprised. Like you said, everyone has a story! My neighbor took a sponsors choice award last yr, and me and another VW owner took one each this yr. I see it as.......two awards the V8 owners didn't get.
