Hi Matteo, thats my home City! I am sure you will enjoy it when you come over.

Prices are quite expensive for the nice areas, if you can afford it, you need a place in clifton, redland or henleaze. I cant really suggest anything with work but there are a lot of offices around, so you should find something easily.

Oh, and you need to go and watch Bristol City fc!

Good luck, Si.

probably the best hotels in the city are the grand hotel in broad street, and the marriott royal in park steet.

If these are too much money, there is a new holiday inn crown plaza near temple meads train station and a marriott hotel in broadmead which will be ok.

type in "clifton suspension bridge" into google - one side of that is in clifton, funnily enough!

Here's a nice little place for sale just outside Portishead, just outside Bristol! Wink

Nice big rooms with high ceilings, awesome place for parties! And several decent sized barns outside for workshop/storage. More than one steam engine's been restored in these! A few fields and some woodland if you've any Baja tendencies...

Driveway's not recommended for v. low cars though...

I like bristol, having lived in the same small town as Jick and spence, strangely I watched City at the weekends as well.  In fact i saw the last game of the season against southend last year, "feed the goat."

I like southmead Wink  b ut might move to westbury on trym

Ah the mead, I drive through there a couple of times a week, definately locking wheel nut territory. I suppose they have little  idea about genuine old wheels though, unless they are for an escort and are being flogged for £30 a set with legal tires. I live in Bradley Stoke, so dragging a 40 year old vw out to the front of the house and hanging around underneath it whilst leaving oil deposits most definately is not socially acceptable.

Westbury on trym is much more pleasant though Mike.

Very commendable watching the reds though, I liked the goat when he was here.
