Deburring made my day
«

OK,today while deburring inside of the case i had an accident, the rotary lightly tuched the edge of the case, but not the whole width of the sealing edge.
It is the right side of the case looking from the oil pump, and this little burr is under the oil pump on the sealing edge, where there is a factory case pin that keeps case sides together.
It's not a milimeter deep,it's smaller, but i can feel it slightly when going over it with the nail.
I hope this can be sealed, what do you guys think
Sorry,it's not the best pic
Here's a pic:
and here's another of the case today in da werks,i finished deburring it from inside out
This was my first case deburring ever, and gee was it ruff and sharp from the factory and from the machine work done to it.

I was thinking of using Curil T or K2 for sealing the case halves

youŽll be fine. IŽm using Hylomar Aerograde for sealing engines. Perfect stuff that remain sticky under all conditions and doesnŽt fell apart like silicone based sealants.

here it is,I measured it today,it ain't bad at all
the mosc to the scratch is outside of the sealing area, only a tiny bit is,but it is also bypasse around it,so it can't leak

thereŽs a plenty of untouched sealing surface around the scratch. It will be fine.

I like Loctite 574 anerobic flange sealant, it's about a close as your gonna get to the original Porsche sealant and it works soo damm good on the case halfs. if you use the primer as well you will be guaranteed no leaks!
Check it out

I've seen guys on aircraft motors, Put a small peice of thread in the bad areas to fill any voids in castings and combinded with good sealants.

574 is killer stuff... case halves, oil pump, cylinder bases... leak free.

There's another thing about the case imperfections that I want to ask you guys.
When it came from the USA it came with this little scratch. It's not deep but I can feel it with a nail, should I polish it a bit and assemble,or would this effect oil pressure in any kind.?
