Mine just showed up in the mail. Kudos for bringing back the real "The California Look" logo. Now I have to go read it.

Still waiting on mine.. I think it's been delayed due to the Christmas holiday... last month I got it a week ahead of the newsstand sale date.  I love the Cal-Look issue, it's one of my favorites each year... also preordered Keith's book on Amazon.com, and I sure as shootin' hope it shows up by Jan. 6 as indicated as the estimated date in my email confirmation... I'm getting antsy.  Grin

Stupid question perhaps but do you have a link to a company that does subscriptions for HVWs I've tried in vain to find one and feel like I'm missing out  Cry

They should put it on their next t shirt design. That would be cool.

Just do it direct. Go to www.hotvws.com

Gwynn at VW Collectibles often has single issues, including several from the 80s and 90s.

They're getting ready to do the Christmas '09 issue as we speak. Time moves fast in SoCal.

Okay, now that I have had a chance to read it I think my favorite car for this year has to be Darrin Dugan's red '67. Great stance, very clean and looks hard as nails. A very close second would be Rick Sadler's killer yellow looker. Love that engine.

If that's the red car I am thinking of, I've been digging it for a year or two now.  Pics of it show up at Drag Days or Nicks, but you never hear anything about it.  Glad to see it got some ink.

Got mine today.  Very cool!  Cool

Rick Sadler's car is traditional old school cal-look, for sure!  I'd like to know more about the car's exhaust.  The header is an A1, but the QP's, are they also A1?  I love the old school look of the dual merged QP's, but I'm curious about whether they are simply "off the shelf units" or something new that's out there that flow better.  Anyone know the story there?  The pictures are tough to see any detail.
