Scott P. has got one but you'd have to buy your own Lexan!! Cheesy Cheesy Grin

He'd probably let it go for close to half that price!!!

Hey Scott, if I find a buyer for this kind of money, will the broker fees buy me 48's? Grin

Didn't Mitch get burned by the guy who "bought" this car from him (as in the check bounced)?  Personally, if this is indeed the R&R Ghia, I think the Evensons should have as much of their car back as possible, though it appears there's not much of it left.

I have the chassis and the bug body. It would be cool to have the Ghia body also but it's a little pricey for me. Check out my blog of the stalled project. http://web.mac.com/larry_mckenzie/

$500 for the trans, the rest needs to be free, for having to haul it off to the scrap yard.

So guys help me understand from reading the post, larry blog and the samba advert......

Larry you have the R&R bug body (which i have seen) and what chassis ?

The Ghia for sale is the R&R Ghia Body and what chassis ?

From Larrys Blog it would appear that the Ghia has the orginal chassis ? can Larry or Keith confirm.

All FYI: Im going to put a silly cheap offer in for this and if i get it, donate it to the Larry "QC" Mckennzie Race Car rebuilding and helping russell ritchie out foundation !

Russell, I have the original chassis and the bug body. The frame was built for the Ghia and raced. When they came out with Pro Stock you could only have a Bug body. Mitch took off the Ghia body and built the Bug body. When Mitch started building the new lighter car for Pro Stock they took off the bug body and put back on the Ghia Body. The Bug body was sold separately. The Ghia was sold complete. The guy I bought the car from had both bodies and the original chassis. He wanted to keep the Ghia body to build a pan race car. I bought the Bug body on the original chassis. If you get the Ghia body, my birthday is coming up in March Grin.
