Thank you for your comment To answer the questions : - The cap with louvers is not to sell because I exchanged it against an origin... - Little welding to be made, the base was rather healthy. Work but it is necessary well that I occupy myself this winter

all the grey vw colors look great on a cal-looker, and with erco's would look very cool, but i always think an early car looks good in green, for me the green vw shades suit the beetle really really well.
if i was you i'd avoid the more common greens like jungle or pastel green.......sargasso green is one color i've rarely seen but looks fantastic.

Grays always look good but I think the brown in the upper pic posted by speedwell would really look nice.

The difficulty it is that I hesitate between the gray and the brown I will see colors them interior to match the whole "it is easier to find the car than to choose the color" = small thought of the day

That depends Juju... some cars "speak" a certain color, others can go several ways.
Just remember that whatever you choose, you'll be able to make it work.

i don't know just whenthe picture was taken there wasn't any oil in the engine & in the gearbox and no fuel in the tank And also back shock absorbers are white koni and they have never worked because the car has never driven

so you mean you need to let the car wear in a bit?
never seen white konis before, are they that tough? i know that my back is 3cm higher with my coil over shocks... with 165 tyres i have positive camber.

ok, i'll be installing my grey KYBs next week after exams... i hope they suit my 165 f560 tyres nicely. coil overs where a bit too high and besides my brother needed them for his resto-looker as he had some clearance issues: back on-topic

didn't know you were asking for opinion ju wouldn't be my choice of colour, i dislike brown... a bit too dirty for me. i know what i'd choose if i'd build a real looker, it would either be white or white with a tad of yellow in it. good luck on the struggle i presume it's probably the most difficult and decisive part of the process...

Indeed the choice of the color is the most difficult part, the part which has the most importance in the success of a project. The cleaning part does not import me it is only one car for the week end, I want that the color old face and that it is different from all what there are the practice to see. Thank you for your opinions, of another comment?
