IMHO, I think that brown is a little to gray... it doesn't "pop" like it should. Maybe if it was a little more yellow.

i agree, you NEED the chrome to make it look good! but has it really been played out? i rarely see it, but i'll take your word for it

Also we need to remember that we're pretty international here. Just because it's played out in one area doesn't mean it's played out some where else. Colors always seem to go in cycles.

That's NOT chestnut brown, but L70 - Medium Brown !!! My '51 split has the same colour and is going to be painted in that colour when finished... I love it...
