Building a Body Dolly For your Project? Here is What I Came Up With.  I Picked up A Used 66 VW Pan that needed Floor Pans for $50.00 I cut the Rear Torison Off and Sold it For $50.00 then Cut the Front Frame Head Off And Sold it for $25.00 I Bought 24 Ft. Of 2 Inch Square Tubing Cost $30.00 Then Bought Four Wheels from Harbor Freight Cost $19.80 Spent a Few Night's Welding Everything Up in my Free Time In The Garage   two Cans Of Paint $6.00 Rubber Seal for front and Back  Body Saddle $5.95 And  Its Done Total Cost To Build  $36.75  +  Plus the two 6 Packs I Drank

What's the yellow stuff you used on it and the 58 floor pans?  A textured chip guard of some kind?

it is called Rocker Shultz made by 3M  for Porsche's and BMW's it is a paintable chip proof coating

Thanks I figured it was something like that.

I build a rotisserie for the body of my 58 today.
I use 60mm pipes that I found in my backyard.

I cut one length of 2m35 and six of 75cm.



I use a 64mm drill bit to cut the pipes.



This way, assembly is very easy. Everything come perfectly together.



I know, I REALLY need to clean this mess (But, the most messy it is, the more work I do... )



I made some brackets to put the wheels on.



And here it is. I just need to paint it.



It's not difficult to do, it took me a full day of work but I think it worth it. Total cost; less than 80€. I buy the wheels for 64€ and the rest for bolts, cutting disc, welding.

I didn't know dude. But, I don't know if they are strong enough to support a body and the weight of the dolly.

And you wonder why there are bad conditions in hospitals ! People takes wheels from beds to restore some VWs !

It is bolt where the front beam is attaches on the body and by 2 bolts on the luggage area. It's enough as it is quite light.
