Beetles that were destined for North Africa and other (very) warm regions of the world, did they come equipped with same pulleys, fans, fan housings, cooling tin as a Bug that was delivered to Europe and North America? Refer to a 1972 1600cc car....

hard to imagine the same coling system would work correctly in Juneau, Alaska or Helsinki as the system used in Tripoli or Cairo.

One of you VW historian guru guys with a stash of parts catalogs want to look?

I'm curious.

I did see a bug once which was an split screen beetle with a second roof skin spaced about 2" off the roof of the car

It was to protect the car from the direct rays of the sun and did work from what the internet post had to say about it

I think the car was based in Egypt, it had an islamic script licence plate on it
